Ghanaian Government Blows US$ 1.5 million on National Awards.
Friday, July 11, 2008
Only in Africa will prominence be placed on gold-plated cars for officialdom at the expense of open sewers that spread disease. To think that medals for supposedly national heroes (when in actual fact, the economy stagnates) in a 'poor' country will cost US $ 1.5 million can't be described as modest. However, be sure that at the next available photo-opportunity with G-8 leaders we'll be begging for more Aid dollars. If only these Aid givers knew….
See grisly details of how $1.5m was spent 'wisely' here.

million dollars go waste on medals
Franklin i think the money spent on the medals should have been used to solve some economic problems in Ghana such the accommodation of police officers, water problem and also the education of the Ghanaian youth.
I don't see the importance of the medal to the the normal citizens of Ghana i mine own descriptions i will say it is a great financial loss to the state.
