South Africa’s Treasury director promises ailing state airline a cash injection

South Africa will give its ailing state airline SAA a cash injection this year but how much it will get has not yet been decided, outgoing Treasury director general Lungisa Fuzile said on Tuesday.

Many of South Africa’s 300-odd state-owned companies, including SAA, are a drain on the government’s purse and have been cited among key risks to the country’s sovereign credit rating. via Reuters
