Triumph of Civil Society over Corruption!

President KibakiKenyan President, Mwai Kibaki has finally given meaning to his fight against corruption. Even though he succumbed after persistent pressure from media and civil rights pressure, he ought to be commended. Ghana’s President isn’t so charitable when it comes to giving up his own in for investigations. He has said "corruption has been with us since Adam. Corruption is everywhere". However, there are many of his kind on the continent. Kenya’s anti-graft campaigner, John Githongo who has exposed the complex nature of Kenya’s state-thievery in several media (almost at the expense of his life) will be a happy man
