Today is exactly a month since the European Union issued an an ultimatum for the coup makers in Mauritania to prepare to put the country back on its journey to constituional rule.
The question bothering observers is whether after the one-month ultimatum, Mauritania, with its new oil finds, will be sanctioned to maintain the credibility of the EU or be spared for reasons yet to be known.
