Every year, IMANI holds a 1-week residential seminar for advanced students and rising young professionals from Ghana, Nigeria and farther afield at Ashesi University that has been dubbed “the Biggest Educational Event of the Year”.  Full details are at   www.sypala.org

Previous highlights of SYPALA have included Lt. General Arnold Quainoo exposing the underbelly of Ghana’s counter-intelligence establishment and the man the BBC calls the “Bill Gates of Africa” taunting African leaders for being “Absentee fathers”.

Typically 55 emerging leaders are treated to inspiration from an equivalent number of renowned African thinkers and doers.

This year’s edition will feature, among many others, the Ghanaian who shaped Coca Cola’s social responsibility across Africa and the man whose son is a feared villain in the Bourne Ultimatum flick; and shall be moderated by 4 of the biggest names in Ghanaian media.

You could come have a chat with the man building the next major power plant in Ghana, or with the musician who dared a sitting President on national TV.
