Interim Guinea Leader Ill. (BBC)

The acting leader of Guinea military junta has been reported to be ill and is scheduled to be flown to Senegal. Gen. Konate is running the country on behalf of Capt. Camara who is receiving treatment in Morocco following a failed coup d’état on his administration. The current situation in Guinea will worsen if the report about the Generals health is confirmed. Unconfirmed reports say Gen. Konate is suffering from Cirrhosis of the liver.

The International Criminal Court is expected to send in prosecutors to investigate the massacre of opposition protestors. United Nations has proposed that Capt Camara be asked to face trial for charges of crime against humanity. He seized power hours after the death of President Conte.
