Kenya Police shoot hate Cleric al-Faisal supporters. (BBC)
The Jamaican born hate cleric’s supporters in Kenyan have clashed with the police. The Muslim cleric is notorious for preaching racial hatred. The cleric is in police custody in Nairobi after authorities failed to deport him because no country is willing to take him in. Police fired tear gas and live rounds at the supporters killing one person and injuring seven others.
Reporters say Muslim youths were marching to present a petition to Prime Minister Raila Odinga and the Immigration Minister when police stopped them. Reports say some were carrying the flag of Somali Islamist group al-Shabab. The Gambia has agreed to take in Mr. Faisal but Nigeria has refused to book him a flight that will take him to the country.
