The president has cleared speculations about her intentions in presidential elections next year; she intends to stand for a second term. The president promised to serve only a term in office but the level of work that needs to be done in Liberia was more that she envisaged thus her desire to stay for another term to carry out more development projects.

While the opposition is not happy about the president’s decision and giving reasons that she is too old and has done enough, majority of the people are happy about the president’s decision. The president is 71 years old.
