Malaria Vaccine may be ready in three years.

Bill Gates, Microsoft founder says, a vaccine for malaria may not be long in coming. A key campaigner against the disease, Mr. Gates said in about three year’s time a vaccine for the deadly tropical disease will be available. The Gates foundation has spent billions of dollars in the fight against the disease across the world.

Malaria is estimated to kill millions of people across the world every year. Mr. Gates says there is a vaccine in its last trial phase and hopefully a partially effective vaccine will be available in three years while a fully effective vaccine will take some five to ten years. He warns that climate change might affect developed countries health aid to developing and poor countries around the world. Even though environmental issues have become increasingly crucial for attention, a nation’s health should not be neglected. He urged donor countries not to tackle climate change issues with funds from health aid budgets.
