Can I write for African Liberty?

Anyone is welcomed to write news or commentary for African Liberty. These works must meet our guidelines for publication.

Guidelines for submissions:

  • Your submissions should be between 600 and 1,200 words.
  • Please write in a ‘journalistic’ rather than ‘academic’ style.
  • Avoid using jargon, except when necessary.
  • Define or explain technical and esoteric terms.
  • Our audience is pan-African and international. Please keep this audience in mind as you write.
  • Ensure that your work is based on verifiable facts and figures. Link your text to references.
